Ash Post Office

Has moved to Londis at 31 The Street, Ash (Poparound) with Mr Minal Patel as the new postmaster.

The opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm and on Saturday 9am until 12.30pm. Please note that there is a step at the entrance.

The same range of services continue to be available with the addition on On-line Lottery.  Customers can still collect benefits using the everyday banking services or Post Office card account.

Don’t forget if you bank with Barclays, Lloyds T.S.B, Co-op, Smile, Cahoot or Alliance & Leicester you can draw cash at the Post Office, usually using your card and P.I.N. There is no charge for this service. Unfortunately Nat West and H.S.B.C. will still not allow their customers to do so (unless they have a ‘basic' bank account) but the good news is that Nationwide Flexaccount customers can now use the scheme.

Many people have noticed that B.T. phone bills make no mention of payment at the Post Office; the reason being of course that the Post Office now offers its own Homephone service which is cheaper than B.T. Call in if you would like to know more. However, B.T. bills can still be paid here by debit card cash or cheque.

Car Tax due? D.V.L.A. is trying to persuade you to do this online with potentially devastating effects on the income of many post offices. Surely it must be more secure to walk into a tax disc issuing office (we are one) documents in hand and walk out a few minutes later disc in hand.

We are able to supply mint stamps, first day covers, presentation packs and Royal Mail stamps cards for each issue and will gladly reserve any for you. We can also obtain for you albums for these. Please contact us for any further information.

The illustrated book, Ash - An East Kent Village written by Mr David Downes is available from the Post Office at £12.99 and also the set of 5 Walk Cards of circular walks using the extensive public footpath network in and around Ash are available for £1.80.
